Our Approach

Nothing happens unless first we dream.  Carl Sandburg

The most prolific period of pessimism comes at twenty-one, or thereabouts, when the first attempt is made to translate dreams into reality. Heywood Broun

Our work for our land conservation and nonprofit clients goes much deeper and broader than providing legal advice or legal representation. Both land conservation and philanthropic and public charity work require an opportunity to envision the future you hope for, and then establish a plan, goals and strategies (including, of course, an evaluation of legal options) that will give you the greatest chance of meeting your objective. We can assist individuals, families and groups through both the planning and legal process. Depending on the issues and persons involved, this might be accomplished through several informal meetings and phone calls, or ir might be best accomplished through one or more retreat type settings. While we can facilitate many types of meetings, we may sometimes suggest a facilitator or organizational consultant to assist. Either way, we can help you tailor the best approach for your situation.

See our Practice Areas and our conservation , foundation, and 501(c)(3) public charity projects discussion for more specific details and examples on how we work with our clients.
